You May Be Right

You’ve always walked the straight and narrow path.

But let me show you another way.

It’s not too late to introduce you to

All the joys of being led astray.

I may be wrong. You may be right.

But it’s a shame to waste this divine moonlight.

You may be right. I may be wrong.

But before we know, this moment will be gone.

Now and then we all need a little love.

It’s not a sin. It’s not a crime.

So maybe tonight let’s you and I

Step out of line just this one time.

I may be wrong. You may be right.

But we don’t need to settle that tonight.

You may be right. I may be wrong.

We can sleep on it together until dawn.

I may be wrong. You may be right.

But that apple’s there. Why don’t we take a bite?

You may be right. I may be wrong.

But the days of life are short and the night is long.

And sometimes it doesn’t pay to be too strong.
