If I Never See You Again

Time for us to say goodbye.

Don’t expect me to cry

If I never see you again.

I won’t be a bit depressed.

In fact, I’ll feel blessed

If I never see you again.

If we’re passing on the street someday,

Just turn and walk the other way.

OK?

I’ll miss you, of course I shall,

Like I’d miss a root canal,

If I never see you again.

I won’t always need a drink.

I can stop seeing a shrink

If I never see you again.

If we meet at some high-class affair,

I’ll pretend I’m unaware

You’re even there.

I won’t be all alone;

I’ll have my friend Dom Perignon

If I never see you again.

It may seem hard to explain,

But I won’t blow out my brains

If I never see you again.

I’ll make it clear one more time:

I can get along just fine

If I never see you again.
