Hold On

Some people out there say that they decide what’s right.

They say they’ve got the numbers and the guns.

Their words can make it seem like the system’s locked up tight.

But that’s all gonna change when a new day comes.

Hold on. Hold on. Hold on, and never give in.

Hold on. Hold on. Hold on, never let them win.

They wish they could go back to a time that never was,

When those other people knew where they belong.

The truth won’t slow them down, just like it never does.

But you just keep on setting right what’s wrong.

Hold on. Hold on. Hold on, never mind what they say.

Hold on. Hold on. Hold on, never back away.

I hope I live to see that age arrive at last,

When everyone’s accepted as they are.

But it’s hard to move ahead when we’re held back by the past,

And the distance left to go is still so far.

Hold on. Hold on. Hold on, and never forget.

Hold on. Hold on. Hold on, it ain’t over yet.
